The Ride: Tartaruga Mini-Velo

Our choice of bicycle is the Tartaruga, a masterpiece of Japanese engineering.

These mini-velos are designed to bridge the gap between high performance and minimalist aesthetics.

Compact yet surprisingly fast, they are the perfect companions for navigating Kyoto’s intricate web of narrow streets.

Why We Don’t Use E-Bikes

While electric bikes are convenient, SnapRide prioritizes two things that E-bikes cannot provide:

Agility & Lightness:

SnapRide is about "Stop & Go." We often pause to capture a fleeting shadow or a hidden detail. The Tartaruga is light enough to be lifted with one hand, allowing you to effortlessly hop over curbs or navigate tight corners where heavy E-bikes struggle.

The Grounded Connection:

We believe the act of pedaling with your own strength deepens your connection to the city. Feeling the texture of the road through the tires and controlling the rhythm of your movement heightens your senses, making the visual experience even more vivid.

The SnapRide Kit: Your Essential Companion

Upon arrival, every guest receives the SnapRide Kit—a curated set of tools designed to let you focus entirely on your photography. The kit includes a mini shoulder bag to hold your essentials, a dedicated photo frame to help you visualize compositions against the landscape, lens cleaners, and more. Slip your smartphone into the bag, hang it over your shoulder, and you’re ready to capture the city instantly.

Preparation & Logistics

To keep your ride light and focused, we recommend bringing only the essentials (phone, wallet, etc.).

  • Cloak Service (Paid): Don’t worry about your luggage. We provide a paid cloak service at the meeting point so you can ride "hands-free" and focus on your shots.

  • Safety: Helmets are available for all guests to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.

Ride light. Feel the rhythm. Capture the unseen.
